On Saturday, December 13th, 2025, SDI Al-Azhar 46 GDC held its annual English Fun Day, an event aimed at encouraging students to actively and enjoyably use English through engaging and interactive activities. The entire day featured a mix of learning, play, and creative activities, with strong parental support.

Opening Activities on the Field
The event started on the school field with warm-up activities. Students engaged in the “Describe the Picture” game, which helped them practice describing images in English. This activity improved their vocabulary, speaking abilities, and creativity. There was also a gymnastics session, promoting physical activity, laughter, and teamwork among the children. The atmosphere was lively and energetic. Students from ALGRANDE appeared enthusiastic, engaged, and cooperative, while parents cheered and encouraged their children from the sidelines, creating a warm and supportive environment.

Benefits of English Fun Day
The event offered numerous benefits:

  • Active English skill development through games and direct interaction.
  •  Enhanced creativity and problem-solving abilities, particularly through Tangram and science experiments.
  • Group activities foster teamwork and communication skills.
  •  Boosted self-confidence, primarily through role play and karaoke.
  •  A joyful and memorable learning experience, different from regular classroom settings, which inspired enthusiasm and engagement

Atmosphere and Parental Support
Students from SDI Al-Azhar 46 GDC were visibly delighted, energetic, and highly engaged throughout the day. They laughed, assisted one another, and took pride in completing each challenge. Parents provided moral support, cheering on their children and sharing in the joy of the activities.

By combining learning, play, and parental encouragement, English Fun Day 2025 successfully created an educational and enjoyable experience. Students not only enhanced their English proficiency but also developed creativity, teamwork, and selfconfidence—skills that will serve them well in daily life.

Four Interactive Learning Stations
After the warm-up, students were divided into four stations, each supervised by a teacher and a native English speaker. Every station offered unique activities that challenged the children’s
creativity, logic, and English skills:
1. Math – Tangram
Students assembled geometric shapes into specific patterns. This activity developed logical thinking, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving skills in a fun and competitive way.
2. English – Role Play
At this station, students performed role plays, practicing conversational English and interactive communication. They acted out simple scenarios, boosting their confidence and speaking ability.
3. Science – Material Experiment
Students conducted experiments on absorbent and non-absorbent materials. Through hands-on exploration, they learned scientific concepts in engaging, practical ways.
4. Music – Karaoke
Children sang simple English songs. This activity was not only entertaining but also enhanced self-confidence and public speaking skills.
